Yarn Art

Here’s a few of the yarn art projects I’ve been involved with: teaching children at a local school how to arm knit fishing nets for the ‘Fish ‘n’ Ships project,  teaching teenagers for ‘Folkestone is an Art school in the 2017 Triennial, holding  pop up shops called ‘Space Craft’ and ‘Folkestone is a Craft school, supporting local yarn crafters and makers for Wool Week, creating an installation for the 2018 Salt Festival, working with Kent Wildlife Trust on the Guardians of the Deep project (hyperlink to web page https://www.kentwildlifetrust.org.uk/get-involved/our-projects/guardians-deep ) which is exhibiting nationally in 2019, and being part of the ‘Older Women Rock’ exhibition ( another catwalk will be held at JW3 in Swiss Cottage for International Women’s Day in London 10th March 2019  (hyperlink website https://www.jw3.org.uk/event/older-women-rock-catwalk#.XH_Gn8CeSQM. I will soon be ‘twinning’ my knitting group with one in Italy too!
